The Lonely Walk Home is Ian Townsend’s BBC award winning play about loneliness, sexuality, and one night stands which don’t always go to plan.
Directed by Dan Phillips and featuring CJ de Mooi, best known from BBC’s Eggheads, the play won a special prize at BBC’s Alfred Bradley Bursary Award for new radio writers. Now adapted as a two-hander for the stage, and to be performed at Taurus Bar & Kitchen on Canal Street in Manchester, Ian’s play promises an atmospheric and disturbing experience, as we find out what happens when loner Lawrence picks up young, handsome Joe in a gay bar.
